Celebrating 50 Years of our pioneering concept: Baking Center™

In 2024, we marked a significant milestone - the 50th anniversary of our Baking Center™ concept. This innovative network of 51 centers around the world has been instrumental in driving progress and supporting the evolving needs of bakers, from craft to industrial.

Since Lesaffre’s inception in 1853, we have been guided by a vision of global reach and local relevance. It is this resolute commitment to proximity that has enabled us to grow alongside our customers, anticipating their changing needs across diverse profiles and markets.

Baking Center™: innovative solutions for modern baking challenges

The training and support provided by the Baking Center™ network have evolved to address a wider range of customer needs, from sourcing local raw materials to optimizing baking processes and reducing waste. By working closely with bakers, our teams gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by the industry, enabling us to develop innovative solutions.

Baking Center™: celebrating milestones and shaping the future of baking

Throughout 2024, the global Baking Center™ community has celebrate this milestone with our customers and partners through trade shows, seminars, exchange programs, and more. Two commemorative publications have also been released – a comic book chronicling the history of the network and a recipe book featuring 40 breads from around the world.

As we look to the future, the Baking Center™ concept will continue to be a driving force, empowering bakers to navigate the evolving landscape and nourish a growing global population in a sustainable manner.
