Food for a more
sustainable World
To nourish, is to take action – in favor of a more virtuous world, a more responsible form of production and a more circular economy. Bread is eaten by everyone and everywhere, and it requires know-how of all bread-making professionals who all make an impact on our society. From sourcing our ingredients to production and distribution, our teams are working to make the baking sector more sustainable.
Sustainable
Clear
For today’s consumers, the ingredients in their food is a major issue. At Lesaffre, it has always been in our DNA to provide clear information about any additives and preservatives, and include as few ingredients as possible. Passionate about the power of fermentation, we support consumers who want their views and cultural beliefs to be reflected in their food choices.
responsible
Together, let’s create the products of the future!
A tempting slice of the Mediterranean diet.
Few ingredients
Many of today’s customers are looking for products that are tasty, but also simple. Focaccia is an ever-popular snack with only five ingredients — olives, olive oil, salt, flour and, of course, yeast.
Organic option
A marked trend among today’s consumers is to choose the organic option in the food they buy. At Lesaffre, we offer yeasts that are fully certified as organic.
Vegan lifestyle
A lifestyle choice, veganism is growing in popularity. And so is our yeast. By being vegan and organic, Lesaffre is also playing its part in a more sustainable future for all.

environmental impact
We are taking actions to make our activities ever more sustainable. Our initiatives range from reducing the environmental impact of our plants by using water management systems, to offering yeasts without external cardboard packaging. Our network of 66 production plants brings us closer to customers, reducing our logistics footprint. In the bakery, our solutions to extend the shelf-life of products help to reduce waste.
